About Me

Family Loving

I provide a family loving Alberta Approved day home in Silverado with over 15 years of experience in childcare

Learn & Play

I am excited to offer a Montessori blended program inspired by Reggio Emilio.

Let's Soak in sun

I ensure that children receive outside playtime (weather permitting) from the backyard to playground areas.

ENVIRONMENT

 I provide a non-smoking, pet-free environment for children 5 years and under.

Food and Nutritious

I follow the Canadian Food Guide and ensure children receive warm homemade meals.

My Mission

Statement

I aim to provide a homely environment where children and families can feel a sense of comfort. Emphasizing natural indoor and outdoor spaces which are used to provide a foundation of learning and personal growth. The growth of character, positive attitudes, intellect and spirit will be stimulated through practical work, natural play and creative art.

PHILOSOPHY

Based on Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies, the environment acts as a third teacher by supplying children with thoughtful interactions as they encourage critical thinking and long-term processing to ensure that the child can conduct their own experiences.

These two approaches give kids lots of freedom to choose their own activities. The introduction to math, science, letters and numbers at an early age gives them an advantage before they enter primary school. The incorporation of unstructured playtime like indoor and outdoor recess is a way to ensure healthy spirits. I also emphasize pretend play as it is an important aspect for children to understand surrounding issues in their environment. By using more open-ended games with arts and crafts, it provides these opportunities which will allow them to seek their own potential
